Supreme Court Case: Attorney Shawn McLaughlin recently argued an important case dealing with property ownership issues before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in Philadelphia. Unlike other appeals, an appeal to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court can only be taken by permission of the high Court. Such appeals are generally granted for only the most important legal issues. While Attorney McLaughlin has argued before other state and federal appeals courts on many occasions over the past 20 years, this opportunity was a particularly special one. The Supreme Court, the week of the argument, allowed video cameras in the courtroom for the first and only time in its long history.
